It's that crazy time of year again!

Yup, the frantic race to Christmas has begun...here in NZ that means too many end of term commitments if you have children in school, a crazy stream of social engagements, work-dos, bbqs, graduations, hectic roads and shops etc and at the end of it all we breathe a sigh of relief - until we realise that we've over-spent, over-eaten, over-drunk and that we are over-commercialised and maybe next year we can remember to take a step back or a step off the conveyor belt to lunacy we've all taken part in creating.
Here at Mphatikizo, Christmas means supplying a goat (celebration food), which the whole community will gather together and enjoy along with singing and dancing in celebration of a rare feast.
Maybe, in our crazy society, we have something to learn from the people of Malawi?
