The 1,000,000 orphans in Malawi need love, support and hope, Mphatikizo aims to find sustainable ways to work in co-operation with local people to provide long-term solutions to poverty
JOIN TOGETHER WITH US TO BUILD A CO-OPERATIVE AND SUSTAINABLE ORPHANAGE IN MALAWI...
All over the world there are people who need help and more importantly - hope...
We, at Mphatikizo, are a small grass-roots charity and to clarify that means this; two people have seen a problem in the world, asked a group of friends to give them a hand and are working together to try and find a solution to that problem.
Mphatikizo was born from the deficiencies that Bob and Regina Smedley (founders) saw in the delivery of aid in Africa and an overwhelming drive to help Regina’s people.
Our aim is not to give aid, but rather to work in partnership with those we are trying to assist. As a co-operative, all assistance will be reciprocated. We hope that one day the co-operative will be self sustaining and that eventually it will be the cooperative itself funding the projects together with people from New Zealand.
All our projects must be environmentally friendly; in Mphatikizo, sustainability is viewed both environmentally and financially.
